Manager Luke Gregson commented on what could be a key signing: “I’m really happy with it. I think he will bring experience especially having been promoted out of this division previously. The fact he can play anywhere across the back four is also a massive plus for us”.

Having been promoted from SSML Division One with both Hoddesdon and then Welwyn Garden City, Sam will be hoping to make it three promotions with three different clubs this season.

Perrin left a classy message thanking all at Welwyn GC via his Twitter page following his decision to move on, but he is now “excited” and “looking forward” to re-joining Baldock Town.

Unfortunately he wasn’t registered soon enough to feature in The Emirates FA Cup this weekend, but he will go straight into the squad for the league curtain raiser with Bedford on Tuesday night.
