BALDOCK TOWN 7 STOTFOLD 0 (HT 3-0)

Reds Hit a Magnificent Seven!
Struggling Stotfold came to the New Lamb Meadow looking to kick-start their season, but left with their tails firmly between their legs as Baldock Town hit them for a magnificent seven!
Manager Luke Gregson made just one change from the successful semi-final winning side on the previous Tuesday evening, bringing Kim Forsythe back in for the unavailable Russell Bull.
After only 13 minutes, Forsythe was on hand to give the Reds an early advantage, which was doubled a minute later by Charlie Joy. This lead was upheld until 3 minutes before the half-time interval when Joy scored his second of the match and Baldock’s third, to take the Reds into the break with a healthy 3-0 lead.
Kieran Barnes was replaced by Alfie Barker for the 2nd half and on the hour the former Stotfold striker, who has recently returned to Baldock, made it 4. Daril Ngwala replaced Kim Forsythe and on 73 minutes opened his account for the Reds to make it 5. In the dying minutes of the game further goals from Alfie Barker and Ngwala condemned Stotfold to their worst result of the season.
Baldock Town remain in 15th place in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division table with 18 points, but having games-in-hand on all clubs around them. The next match is next Saturday 22nd, when they play away against landlords Arlesey Town in a League fixture.
