A 1-1 draw sees Southall lose their first points
Well, a chilly afternoon welocmed Southall to a bright and sunny Lambs Meadow.
Luke on the touchline and Dean not taking part due to an illness. Kenna suspended, Bully 'working', Owen still injured. We knew we had to make a good start against the top of the leaderboard, unbeaten Southall.
Then disaster struck, Stuart Pearson twisted his ankle in the warm up and was unable to start . It was all change on the whiteboard as Luke was changing everyone around. Matt Endersby who had come to 'watch' had to change into a kit in case he was needed.
The game didn't start well when a scramble in the goal on the 12 minute saw an untidy goal scored against us. Some good passages of play saw the Southall defence beaten a number of times but the ball just would not hit the back of the net!
Half time in the dressing room saw a few tweaks to the team and the second half would see Mitchell Foley make an appearance for the first time since his first match injury what seems like months ago! Coming on for Myles Lee he soon picked up a dissent booking but all was not lost.
A goal given to Zach Decker was scored and the teams went in 1-1 at full time, Southall dropping their first point in 8 games and Baldock going up a place to 11th after 5 games.
Next Wednesday the Reds host Langford (11th) KO 19.45pm
