3 goals and 3 points!
Injuries don't stop the Raging Reds!
With Luke out of action due to a dodgy ticker, Deano with a hammy pull, Brooksy with a sprained ankle, Owen with a shoulder injury and Myles Lee out too. Things were not looking good either first thing when Jack Farmer and Harry Holland were both fighting off colds and were not feeling 100%
But soldier on the team did, and it was a slow and sluggish looking first 10 minutes (well first half to be fair) and not really a surprise to go 1-0
down. With Luke trying to keep his blood pressure as well as keeping his heart rate down, it was Deano barking out the orders to get the team back on track. With an air ambulance hovering around it was a nervous Pinky keeping her eye on the gaffer!
Half time saw a change with Alfie Barker replacing Harry Holland. It was on his first touch that Alfie managed to score bringing the teams level on 47 minutes!
He wasn't happy with just one goal though and with a cross from Josh Coley, helped on by Alex Coppin, Alfie slotted the ball into the back of the net with a very composed strike.
Then Freddie Morris got on the score sheet. It was now 1-3, the gaffer was now looking happier so Pinky told the paramedics to step down!
With Jack Farmer making an epic save off the line, things were looking better. Then more changes as Russell Bull replaced an injured Josh Coley and Zach Decker on for Freddie Morris with the last 5 minutes to play.
It was an elated team that went into the changing room, 3 points on the scoreboard moving Baldock up to position 12 in the league.
No midweek action next week but next Saturday the Reds are at home to Southall, currently the League leaders.
Lets hope all the ailments, the colds, man flu, painful shin bruises, manky toes,(lots of them), sprains, cuts, breaks, dodgy tickers and everything else manage to get a bit of rest and relaxation in time to be fighting fit for next weekend!
Gotta love a WIN!!!!
