Taking a break from league action, there were seven 2nd Round ties on Tuesday evening in the Premier Division Cup.

Biggleswade FC carried on where they left off in the league with an impressive 3-1 victory at Crawley Green. Goals from Tom Cookman, Alex Marsh and a Tom Coles penalty were enough to see off the Dirty Clarets. The home side’s consolation came from substitute Thomas Silford. The United side of Biggleswade were also successful with a 3-0 win at home to Wembley. Joe Hankins, David Parkinson and Aaron McArdle were all on target for United.

London Tigers made their way through to the Quarter-Final winning a penalty shootout at home to Hadley. At the end of normal time the scores were level at one apiece, with David Laird having found the net for Hadley. Tring Athletic beat struggling Stotfold at the Grass Roots Stadium 2-1 with goals from Billie Busari and Ash Campbell. On loan Hitchin Town youngster Dessie da Silva was on target for Stotfold.

London Colney recovered from their defeat against Colney Heath on Saturday with a 2-0 victory at Cotlandswick against Leverstock Green. Loren Maxwell and Gareth Price getting the goals. Meanwhile Oxhey Jets recovered from their thrashing at Leverstock Green at the weekend by comprehensively beating Harpenden Town 4-1 at the Boundary Stadium. Goals from Nicholas Kerley, Sean Geordmaina, George Hobson and Harry Beaumont were too much for the Harps who replied through Archie McClelland.

Cockfosters got back to winning ways beating North Greenford United by two first half goals at Chalk Lane. Yacine Aiba and Rian Carroll were on target for Fosters.

The remaining 2nd Round tie between Leighton Town and Baldock Town takes place at Bell Close next Tuesday evening.
