Tuesday 25th September 2018 - MATCH PREVIEW

On Tuesday evening Baldock Town make the short journey northwards to high-flying Biggleswade FC for a league fixture. Many people’s early favourites to end up as SSML champions, Biggleswade FC have only been beaten twice in this current campaign and will provide a stern test for the boys in red.

Sitting in 2nd place in the table, boasting a current league record of P7-W6-D0-L1-Pts18, their only league defeat so far was a 3-1 reverse at home to Potton United. Their other loss was in the FA Cup where they were certainly not disgraced going down 5-3 at home to Bostik League North Division Soham Town Rangers. On Saturday last, they travelled to Colney Heath for a Premier Division fixture and came back from a goal down at the break to win 2-1.

However, after Baldock Town’s win at home against Edgware on Saturday, we can currently boast an unbeaten run of 6 matches, with 5 of those being victorious. Definitely a clash of two of the league’s current form sides, presumably something has to give?

DIRECTIONS
Biggleswade FC groundshare with Evo-Stik Southern League Biggleswade Town FC

Travelling up the A1 from the South:
Continue on the A1 past the first Biggleswade roundabout (signposted A6001 and Stratton Business Park). As you travel towards the next roundabout, you will see The Langford Road Stadium on your left as the A1 goes around to the right. When you reach the next roundabout (next to Sainsbury’s) take the third exit onto A6001.

Follow the road around to the right and go straight over the mini-roundabout adjacent to Bennett’s Car Parts. As you approach the Town Centre, go straight over the mini roundabout following signs for Langford & Henlow (B659 Teal Road).

At traffic lights, turn right (still heading towards Langford). Continue along Hitchin Street over two mini roundabouts and as you pass under the A1, the ground entrance is 200 yards on the right hand side.
