St Neots have a battering of 7 goals past them for the second time in the season

Baldock travelled to St Neots town to play their reserve side who currently sit at the bottom of SSML 1.

Manager Luke Gregson only made two changes, both forced, from the side who beat 3rd place London Lions in midweek. Keeper and captain Jack Farmer and Alfie Barker coming in for the unavailable Adam Harpur and Russell Bull.

It was a dream start for the away side and it was that man Barker at it again. Racing on to a loose ball and easily slotting home with just 30 seconds on the clock.

St Neots hit back 10 minutes later. A Farmer clearance was hit straight at the on rushing striker and in to the net.

Baldock regained the lead soon after. A Kim Forsythe free-kick was met by Liam Kenna and the centre-half thundered a header in to the top corner.

It was 2-2 as St Neots immediately struck back. A long ball over the top was met by Farmer who's miss hit his clearance and the ball was nodded in to the empty net.

Josh Coley made it 3-2 with a cute finish from a tight angle and the Barker got his second and Baldock's fourth just before half time. Ghosting across the box to meet an Owen Robertson cross.

The second half was one way traffic. Alfie Barker completing his hat-trick just after the break with another composed finish.

Owen Robertson, often provider turned goalscorer, gambling at the back post after the ball was headed back across goal.

The rout was completed when the lively Harrison Holland jinxed his way through the box and cooly finished with aplomb.

It finished 7-2 to Baldock and could have quite honestly been more against a very young St Neots side who to be fair showed some fight and didn't give up until the final whistle.

Gregson will be pleased with the professional way Baldock put the game to bed.
